My stay at Ogtong Cave Resort was quite enjoyable, set in a beautiful, secluded area with stunning views and a unique cave pool that made it memorable. The rooms were decent but a bit basic for the price, yet cozy enough after a long day. The staff was exceptionally accommodating, making me feel welcomed, but the food and some facilities could use significant improvements. Overall, it’s a great place for a peaceful getaway, but be prepared for some quirks.
Rooms

The rooms were clean and basic, akin to a small jewelry box, providing comfort but felt a bit pricey compared to other accommodations in the area.

The service was very friendly and accommodating, with staff reaching out to confirm my arrival time and offering guidance throughout my stay.
Location
8.0
The location was a highlight, featuring a natural pool in a cave amidst magnificent grounds, although it was a bit far from shops and restaurants.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience fell short due to the food quality, which could significantly improve, even though there were some decent dishes.
Facilities
5.0
The pool facilities needed attention, as some areas were not well maintained and there were stray animals around, which detracted from the overall experience.

Ogtong Cave Resort offers a unique getaway amidst lush greenery, highlighted by the captivating cave experience that left me in awe. Although the overall upkeep of the resort seems to have faded over time, and the beach access is quite limited, the serene atmosphere and cozy accommodations provide a decent escape. The dining options were satisfactory, but could benefit from greater variety. Ultimately, while the location and unique features are appealing, the resort has some room for improvement in maintenance and variety.

The service was welcoming, with staff being very kind and readily available to assist with inquiries. They made efforts to keep the grounds looking nice, but more attention could be diverted to guest needs.
Location
6.0
Located in a lovely garden setting surrounded by natural beauty, the resort feels like a hidden paradise. However, the beach is disappointing with minimal access to the water.
Dining
6.0
Dining was decent with some tasty local dishes available, including enjoyable seafood options. However, the variety could be better to enhance the overall experience.
Facilities

The pool area is refreshing and a nice spot to relax, but its cleanliness needs significant improvement as it was not well-maintained during my visit.

Ogtong Cave Resort offers a unique experience with its enchanting cave and cozy environment, but there are some areas for improvement. The cave is the main attraction, and while the resort is quiet and relaxing, the amenities could use some updating. The dining options are limited, and the pool and beach aren’t as impressive as expected. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a short getaway, but I wouldn't rush to return.

The rooms were clean and fairly basic, though the bed wasn't as comfortable as I had hoped. They did provide air conditioning and fresh linens.
Service
7.0
The service was generally accommodating, although I felt that some staff could improve on attentiveness. They offered helpful advice and assisted with bike rentals.
Location
7.0
The resort is nestled in a quiet area with lush greenery, making it feel secluded and peaceful. However, getting there required a long ride by bus.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were quite limited, but what I tried was reasonably good. I especially appreciated the seafood when it was available.

5.0/10
The resort has some unique features, like the cave which is quite an experience, but overall, I found the facilities to be lacking. The pool was dirty and not well-kept, and the beach area feels neglected. With a high entrance fee for what is offered, it feels overpriced for the experience. The cave does have a nice atmosphere, but the upkeep of other amenities leaves much to be desired.
Rooms
5.0
I didn’t stay overnight, but the basic layout and amenities mentioned seemed quite dated and not very inviting.
Service
5.0
Service was a bit hit or miss, with some rules feeling arbitrary, like the swimwear policy enforced by the lifeguard.
Location
5.0
The location is a bit of a letdown, with a small beach area that is not appealing, and access to deeper water is quite far off.
Dining
5.0
I didn’t get to experience dining extensively, but with limited bold menu options, it didn't seem noteworthy.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area felt uninviting and dirty, which really detracted from the whole experience. The cave, while a highlight, did not make up for the poor state of the other facilities.

I visited this resort with high hopes but was quite disappointed. The famous cave was only enjoyable for a short time, and the pool was far from clean. The beach area was lacking, making swimming difficult. While there were a few positives, like the beautiful surroundings of the cave, the overall condition of the facilities left much to be desired.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms were decent but felt overpriced for what you get, especially when there are better options available nearby.
Service
6.0
The service was generally friendly, but they lacked local knowledge and I found out about the in-house pool quite by accident during my stay.
Location
6.0
The location offers a beautiful view, but it's a bit remote from stores and dining options, making it less convenient.
Dining
6.0
The dining choices were limited and not very exciting, though I found the options available to be reasonably tasty.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities are showing signs of age and were not very well maintained, which was disappointing.
